Miranda Richardson trat bereits als Kind im Schultheater auf, verließ mit 17 Jahren die Schule um Tierärztin zu werden, entschied sich dann jedoch doch für die Schaupielerei und besuchte die 'Bristol Old Vic Theatre School'. Sie ist eine der international bekanntesten englischen Theater-, Film- und Fernsehschauspielerinnen.
