'Danny Boy' ist ein berühmtes irisches Lied und eines der bekanntesten patriotischen Lieder Irlands.

Der Text stammt von Frederick Weatherly. Als Melodie wird zumeist die 'Londonderry Air' verwendet.

Frederick Weatherly schrieb das Lied 1910 und später für die Verwendung zur Melodie 'Londonderry Air' leicht abgewandelt.

Die Sängerin Elsie Griffin machte 'Danny Boy' weltberühmt.
