David Morrissey

geboren 1964 in Everton / Liverpool, England

David Morrissey begann während seiner Schulzeit Theater zu spielen. Mit 16 Jahren verließ er die Schule und arbeitete am Everyman's Youth Theatre. 1983 gelang ihm der Durchbruch mit der fünfteiligen Fernsehserie 'One summer'. Daraufhin ging er nach London, studierte an der 'Royal Academy of Dramatic Art' und arbeite anschließend bei der 'Royal Shakespeare Company' und für das 'National Theatre'.

Nach seinem Kinodebüt in Peter Greenaways 'Drowning by Numbers' (1988) wirkte er in mehreren Fernsehfilmen und -serien sowie in verschiedenen Kinoproduktionen mit. Nach einigen Hollywood-Produktionen widmet er sich jetzt wieder verstärkt dem britischen Fernsehen.
